Joey has been involved with orchestral performances since she was 7 years old. Before coming to London to pursue her Bachelor of Music degree, she was enrolled in the Hong Kong Academy of Performing Arts’ Junior programme as well as being part of the Hong Kong Academy Symphony Orchestra from 2014 – 2018. She participated annually in the Hong Kong Music School festivals from 2008 – 2018, and was the concertmaster for the King George V School orchestra from 2016-2018. 

Whilst studying for her Bachelor’s Degree in Music at King’s College London, she played in numerous major university orchestras, including the University of London Symphony Orchestra, King’s College London Orchestra, and Young Musicians Symphony Orchestra. She also played in student groups in Imperial College London, such as Kohncertino, Guildhall student-led orchestra such as Freude orchestra, and the King’s Opera production of Magic Flute.

Joey now works with the Brixton Chamber Orchestra, Firebird Symphonic Orchestra, and Oxford Choir harmonic orchestra. She also worked with Orquestra Sinfónica do Algarve on a 4 days tour in Portugal in May 2022, and travelled to France with KCLSO in the summer of 2018. However, other than classical orchestral work, Joey also works in weddings, celebrations events in a soloist, quartet/trio. She now works with Encore Artist, playing popular music and provides the perfect entertainment you will need in any celebration.
